This Week in Saskatoon: Winterruption 2017

Last week in Saskatoon was marred by some truly bitter blasts of cold. That said, now that winter’s attack on the prairies has subsided a little, it’s time to get back out there with Winterruption, a festival that aims to turn up the heat with a number of sweet shows. So far, our top picks include Holy Fuck, TUNS, the return of The Moas, and Ian Blurton sharing the stage with Heatrüb, who are billed as “Saskatoon’s strangest musical experience.” Sure, why not. Additionally, you may want to go get your grind on with the ripper that Vangelis is hosting on Saturday, featuring Mechanical Separation, Man Meat and others. No word yet if Fred Penner will make an appearance, but anything is possible!
