About

Ominocity is a Saskatoon music and culture blog.

We write inspired articles on all things related to the arts, music and independent media, with an emphasis on local events and emerging talent. We also participate in an active social community that extends beyond the web to include art shows, design symposiums, midnight croquet tournaments, keggers, karaoke and impromptu dance parties.

In addition to its regular staff, Ominocity also works with a team of volunteers and contributors to submit ideas and content. If you are interested in working or volunteering for Ominocity please contact us.

He is the content editor and features writer at Ominocity.com where he contributes album reviews, illustration work and written pieces on everything from dislocating limbs to haunted hydroelectric dams. When not behind a desk, he plays bass in Slow Down Molasses, whose most recent album 100% Sunshine landed on CBC Radio 3's "CBC Radio 3's top 103 songs of 2016."

Developer

Ryan Smith is the developer and co-founder of Ominocity. Smith owns a web hosting company called Varial Hosting and spends his days making sure the Internet doesn’t blow up. He was formally the vocalist for punk rock band Set Aside and wishes he would have learnt how to play an instrument. He also owns way too many t-shirts with cats on them.
