Julie Doiron backed by members of Cancer Bats and Eamon McGrath. It sounds pretty strange to say that out loud, but the members of Julie & The Wrong Guys have crafted a group that sounds both new and familiar. On their debut 7″ EP Homeless, Doiron’s unmistakable vocals – still reminiscent of her excellent back catalogue of solo albums and Eric’s Trip material – sit atop some gloriously heavy punk, grunge and metal riffs. While that’s happening this Thursday at Vangelis, you can also catch Sam Roberts and Hollerado at O’Brians Event Centre on Tuesday along with a whole bunch of other stuff, including The Arkells next Monday.
