Ever since they blew the roof off at the first OMFEST, we’ve always been fans of We Were Lovers. With their haunting mix of electro-dance and splashes of playful indie guitar pop, the group’s show this Friday at Amigos is not one to miss – it’s gonna be the last time you see them in play in Saskatoon for a while. According to our insider sources, WWL will be taking a hiatus from playing shows indefinitely as vocalist Elsa Gebremichael will be leaving town to do a new thing. You can catch WWL, along with Alex Bent & The Emptiness and The Faps at Amigos this Friday. Also recommended: Figure Walking, featuring Greg MacPherson, at Vangelis on Wednesday, and the GNAR GNARS also at Vangelis on Friday.
