Venue raises $3700 for charity with sold-out anniversary show
It was another one for the books. Not that there has been any shortage of amazing shows over the past 25 years, but this past Friday at Amigos was another one you won’t forget any time soon.
Featuring Carbon Dating Service, Maybe Smith, Golden Smoke, Junior Pantherz, The Fjords, the line-up had collected several musicians, some flying from across Canada, specifically for the celebration. Playing to a sold-out crowd – more than a few were reportedly doing the last-minute ticket scramble, sigh – each band looked and played like they were having a blast.
And the best part? The show raised over $3700 for the Crisis Nursery. Incredible!
Thanks to Brant, Amigos and their wonderful staff, the bands and everyone who supports their local scene. See you all in another 25 years? Nah, that just sounds scary. How about next weekend instead?
