This Week in Saskatoon: The Avulsions, Too Soon Monsoon, Ride Til Dawn

“I want to jump in a lake.” It’s summer. And if you are trapped in the city, the next best thing is jumping in the river, a kiddie pool filled with hotdogs, or a pool of your own tears because you aren’t at the lake. Sigh. That said, there are a few options for you if you are shackled to the city during this scorcher of a week. Local alt-pop duo Too Soon Monsoon are releasing an EP entitled Little Fire on Thursday, July 6 at Vangelis along with Kids on Coffee and Clara Lessa. Goth kids The Avulsions are similarly dropping a newly-pressed 7”, also at Vangelis on Saturday, with Blessed and Chunder Buffet handling opening duties. And if you happen to be on summer vacation, you may want to catch Ride Til Dawn at Vangelis on Monday.
