This Week in Saskatoon: Weezer, Omni, 90s Dance Party

It’s been 23 years since we first fell in love with Weezer’s “Undone – The Sweater Song.” In retrospect, that is a very long time ago, and a lot of things have changed since then. No longer do we hacky-sack in our argyle sweater vests. But we still appreciate the haunting keyboard croon that accompanies “Buddy Holly” even though we no longer have to watch MuchMusic for hours on end to watch the video. But if total 90s worship isn’t your thing, you might want to check out Atlanta’s Omni (Vangelis this Friday), who pull off angular post-punk without a trace of irony. On the other hand, you might just want to retro worship at the 90s dance party at Amigos the same night. Ch-ch-ch-choices.
