What to do in Saskatoon: Fringe Festival, Scanner, Aggroculture July 30 - August 6, 2018

Saskatoon Fringe Festival

It’s that time of the year again, when the Fringe takes over Broadway, jugglers amuse us with their flaming-unicycle-riding antics and theatre reigns supreme. Starting this Thursday and running through until August 11, come wander, take in a show and eat corn on the cob in public.

Scanner

Taking place at the Remai on Friday as part of the gallery’s Turn Out series is a performance by Robin Rimbaud, an electronic musician who works under the name Scanner. Come for the beats, stay for the Picasso!

Aggroculture

Love seeing hardcore/grind/punk kids take over a small town venue? How about an entire festival? Aggroculture is set to unleash 17 bands on Crystal Springs, SK over the August long weekend. What could possibly go wrong?

The Acacia Strain, Left Behind, I AM and Thalass

Come whip your hair to the haunting strains of The Acacia Strain in a room full of people wearing various black T-shirts. Tuesday night at Louis’!

If I Look Strong; You Look Strong, The Faps and Ki the Tree

This Friday Amigos will be hosting some very awkwardly-named bands. But they are all pretty good, I think.
