Downtown cafe was once neighbours with all ages venue and music festival
Caffe Sola, a Saskatoon cafe located on 23rd Street and Pacific Avenue, has announced that they will be closing indefinitely.
The following announcement was made via the Caffe Sola Facebook page:
To everyone in the Sola Sphere, it is with great regret that I am letting you know that Caffe Sola will be closing its doors tomorrow. We were unable to reach an agreement with our landlord regarding a financially viable lease. I have enjoyed the last 7 years immensely and have made many great friends through the shop. What better way to spend the days than playing with food and coffee in a beautiful space with great staff and wonderful customers. It has been a great ride but now it is time for a new adventure. Who knows what tomorrow will bring
Recognized for their unique building and atmosphere, Caffe Sola was also well known in Saskatoon’s music community.
The building once housed Jale, an all ages music venue, which hosted events such as vivefest as well as many other touring bands. Similarly, several local musicians used the basement to rehearse.
Caffe Sola, you will be missed.
