Sask Jazz Festival announces the return of The Roots and Michael Franti

Sask Jazz Fest to run June 25 until July 5

Summer is ready… when you are!

The Saskatchewan Jazz Festival, which is celebrating its 29th anniversary, has revealed it’s next wave of performers.

The Roots and Michael Franti will be returning to the main stage at the Bessborough Gardens.

Michael Franti will perform with local opener Parab Poet & the Hip Hop Hippies on Tuesday, June 30. The Roots will perform with a special guest opener on Canada Day, Wednesday, July 1.

The good news keeps rolling in. Yesterday the SaskJazz Festival announced tha Erykah Badu and Lights, along with supporting acts Dear Rouge from Vancouver and Saskatoon’s own Close Talker would be playing.

Erykah Badu will play on opening night, Thursday, June 25. Lights performs on Friday, July 3 with supporting acts Dear Rouge and Close Talker. All acts are scheduled to perform at the Bessborough Gardens main stage.

Can’t wait to see who else they bring this year. Any word on Shad yet?
