MoSoFest PREVIEW: Adolyne to Terrorize Western Canada

Expect a good thrashing that’s not unlike a beating with a burlap sack full of rabid cats

Editor’s Note – The following is part four of many previews on Ominocity’s upcoming sponsored MoSoFest showcase. Look forward to our ongoing coverage of MoSo.

There is a new album forthcoming from Saskatoon hardcore noise terrorists Adolyne, and it is called Of Ash/Of Shit/Of Shame.

Whoa.

“We are currently negotiating a release with a few labels for a few different formats, so we don’t have a release date just yet,” confirms front man Skot Hamilton. “It’s going to be the quintessential misanthropic anti-party record of late 2013. It was engineered by Craig Boychuck. We also recorded a track that timed in just shy of twenty minutes called ‘The House that Contrition Built’ that we’re reserving for a split that we also can’t talk about yet.

“We’re being sneaky.”

According to a post on the band’s Facebook page, you can CLICK HERE to hear unmastered versions of the tracks “Deserts in my Blood” and “Knife Inside”.

Geezus. I have no idea how these guys keep getting more and more extreme. Expect plenty of bizarre breakdowns and a good thrashing that’s not unlike a beating with a burlap sack full of rabid cats.

In addition to their MoSo showcase, Adolyne will also be hauling themselves out to Calgary’s Sled Island, where they will be playing with (surprise!) KEN Mode and GSTS at the Ship and Anchor on Friday, June 21.

Check out Adolyne at Rock the Bottom on Saturday, June 15 at 11:15pm.
