Shooting Guns drop single from upcoming Brotherhood of the Ram LP

Saskatoon noisemongers reveal track in advance of Canadian tour

Shooting Guns, a Saskatoon six-piece psych-metal sledgehammer, has revealed a song of their forthcoming sophomore album Brotherhood of the Ram.

You can listen to that over at Exclaim.ca.

The song, titled “Motherfuckers Never Learn”, is a nine-and-a-half minute-long marathon of fuzzed-out guitar riffage, pounding drums and otherworldly noise conjured from a multiple vehicle pile-up that took place in some sort of inter-dimensional forgotten realm.

With Monster Magnet’s John McBain producing their sophomore set, fans can expect more heaviosity as soon as this album drops. No word on when that will be though.

Shooting Guns will be tackling the rest of the Canada starting this Saturday in Winnipeg, with the tour poster art coming from a painting from Bruce Pennington. According to the band, the image is “from the cover of Eschatus, his mind-bendingly vivid book of apocalyptic prophecy.”

That sounds appropriate.
