Saskatoon Thrash Punks to release split 7” on American label
Rehashed, a Saskatoon-based punk/thrash group, have dropped a new track titled “The Marrow” from an upcoming split 7” EP, which will be released on American label Give Praise Records.
Appearing on the other side of the record is Calgary’s Wake, who will be playing with Rehashed and Despise You at Amigos on Feb. 9, says front man Mike Lefebvre.
“We have traded shows with Wake for the past couple of years and they were one of the first names that came up when discussing bands we would like to do a split with,” he says. “They are a devastating live band comprised of nice dudes, so it was an easy choice for us. We asked Give Praise Records if they wanted to put out the split and Paul was nothing but accepting, quick and efficient. Aaron from Defeatist rounded out the split with some incredible art and we are excited to see this project come together so perfectly.”
Lefebvre says that Rehashed will be heading back to the studio this spring to record a new full-length album in addition to an upcoming western Canadian tour in March.
“Kicking off out tour will be a show at Amigos on Friday, March 15 with Untimely Demise, Shooting Guns and Chronobot. It will be a rager, for sure,” says Lefebvre. “After that we head out to Victoria and back, [which will be make it] nine shows in ten days.
“It will be dubbed the ‘How much fart can you take?’ tour. My guess is not a lot.”
