Del Suelo – (Regina)
Del Suelo is a Saskatchewan-based author and musician. He is an experienced multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, serving as a contributing member to both the Andino Suns (bass), and the Down Home Boys (guitar/banjo), and has been known to tour with The Dead South as a stand in cellist.
He grew up on the unlikely mix of punk-rock and jazz music, regularly gigging as a guitarist in bands of both genres throughout his teens. Studying jazz taught Del a sense of musicianship, while punk-rock taught that music can be a vehicle for social and/or personal change — not just entertainment. While the music Del now plays is neither jazz nor punk, musicianship and message are a major part of his artistic philosophy.
Paul Kuzbik – (Saskatoon)
Paul Kuzbik is a Canadian guitarist & singer/songwriter. He is known for his bluesy solos as lead guitarist in The Pistolwhips, as well as for his laid back, folk inspired acoustic sets. Splitting his time between the road, an organic farm in Northern Saskatchewan, and Saskatoon, Paul has toured Canada with numerous acts in a wide variety of musical style, giving him a vast network of influence to draw from. Bummer Jams, the forthcoming album of all acoustic solo works from the artist, is a collection of songs reflecting the early part of adulthood and the end of the beginning. It echos the dusty bars and long winter roads where Paul’s music has lived for the better part of the past decade.
