Top five acts in nationwide contest to be determined on March 4
CBC’s Searchlight has revealed the next round of artists in their nationwide contest.
On Monday, Feb. 25 the competition, which is determined by public vote via the Internet, narrowed down the contenders to the top 20 performers from each region.

Expect a sudden decline of Facebook requests for votes from musicians from across Canada.
You can still vote for your favorite artist once per day, with the next round of voting ending on March 3 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
The top five acts will be revealed on March 4.
Also cool: Saskatoon’s The Seahags were named as one of Searchlight’s “Musical Surprises” and were featured prominently on the site’s gallery.
