Rdio Inches Ahead of Spotify in Race to Become the Largest Music Streaming Service

Music streaming service Rdio grows to 18 million tracks

Rdio has just signed deals with CD Baby and TuneCore, two of the largest independent music aggregators, bringing the service’s catalog of songs up to 18 million tracks.

The move not only puts Rdio just ahead of Spotify in terms of catalog size, but now makes it much easier for unsigned artists to add their albums to the service through these aggregators.
