At the age of 8, the only hip-hop I was really exposed to was DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince. Although their lyrics were borderline inbred-chic, the duo sparked my life-long love of rap music that incorporates humour and off-beat witticisms as its focal point.

Hailing from Halifax, hip-hoppers Teenburger take on an awesome name and do it justice with their album Burgertime. Combining samples from movies Back to the Future and Fast Times at Ridgemont High along with backhanded raps and rave-ups, the group proudly wear their old-school influences on their several-sizes too big clothing.
