Vive Part 3

0

ViveFollowing is part three of a series on Vive Music, a local show promotion and band management concern that is jointly run by Phil Greer and Rich Taylor.

Vivefest 3, a multi-day local festival, is almost upon us. But aside from being the biggest endeavour for Vive co-founders Phil Greer and Rich Taylor, the Festival also promises to bring greater things to Saskatoon.

“It seems like a big jump from Vivefest2 to Vivefest3, and it is, but there is a natural progression there,” explains Greer. “Vive was not wealthy or experienced enough to just jump into a Vivefest3 sized festival at year one, so we started small with a show that we could pull off and break even on. We pushed the envelope as much as we could afford to for Vivefest2 again with an eye to break even. Vivefest is a ‘grower’ as we call it. We never expected it to be huge from the start so instead we are committed to growing it year by year.”
