We Don’t Care About Music Anyway Film Screening at Beaumont Records

November 14, 2014 @ 7:00 pm

On November 14th we are kicking off a new music themed film series at Beaumont Film & Record, to kick off this series we are proud to present We Don’t Care About Music Anyway.

We Don’t Care About Music Anyway – From radical turntablism (Otomo Yoshihide) to laptop music innovation (Numb), via classical instrument hijacking (Sakamoto Hiromichi), Tokyo’s avant-garde music scene is internationally known for its boldness. While introducing some of the great musicians of this scene the film offers a view of Tokyo, confronting music and noise, sound, image, reality and representation, documentary and fiction.

And before the screening we will be having local noise group Slime Street performing at the shop. This will also be their release show for their new Split Tape with Orlop. If you caught these guys at Merzbow then you will know not to miss them.

Everything kicks off at 7:00pm, Tickets will be available at doors for $10
