An ironic collective coming out of Saskatoon SK that is everything but “Soft”. Front woman, Mikhaila Anderson, brings together an alternating group of local musicians for a unique performance every time.
Although their friendship extends back nearly a decade, this duo discovered a long awaited and new creative chemistry within their collective sound. Based out of Northern Canada, they craft their music from live looping, synthesizers, keyboards and samples while tight percussive rhythms of guitars and drums hold down an uncontainable energy. This is where their souls are pulsed by electronic music and passions are thoroughly evoked, integrating live players into sonic dreams that push the boundaries of their experiences and passions with comfort and love.
Rooted in jazz, rock, and folk music, Malick is a piano-based indie rock band from The Great Canadian Prairies.
Formed in the opening moments of 2014 by members hailing from various musical projects, Malick quickly established a reputation as an musical force to be reckoned with in the Saskatoon youth music scene. The Malick sound consists of hooky piano melodies, riffalicious guitar work, soaring vocals, and an infectious rhythm section. With singles in the works, and a full-length debut album on the horizon, Malick is driving straight for ear drums near yours. Prepare yourself.
