We Are The City
Since forming in 2009, this B.C. band has seen a world of change and with their sophomore album, Violent, in 2013 they’ve clearly demonstrated that they’ve used this change, the good and the bad, to their advantage. Using a mixture of rhythmic currents and remarkable melodies throughout each tune, We Are The City defies the boundaries of a particular genre.
We Are The City have created music videos for each song on their album, which have elements of the feature film VIOLENT incorporated. These videos have not been released previously, and will be projected on screens behind them during their performance.
This indie electronic sensation brings a whole bunch of fun and a little bit of B.C. chillax to a show. With technical skills that could impress even the most discerning of audiophiles, Humans provides fans with a dynamic sound that is unrelenting and leads to an undulating and vibrant dance floor experience, so get ready to get sweaty.
Friends of Foes
Hailing from the heart of the Canadian prairies in Saskatoon, Friends of Foes hit their listeners with a roaring wall of sonic talent. From soft, gentle melodies to a full on audio assault, the heavy drum lines and harmony-laden choruses from these newcomers can be anything but subtle.
economics, aka Dean Summach, has been quietly making compelling instrumental music from his hometown of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan for the past decade. economics’ songs are ambitious collection of dense and delicate songs, falling somewhere in between adventurous post-rock, instrumental hip-hop, and vintage electro-pop.
Sleepwreck is the sound of cyborgs dancing around a ritual bonfire. As primal as it is forward reaching, as organic as it is technological, this Music is electronic and it is alive. Having spent a lifetime in study of the magic and science of sound, Sleepwreck’s original productions and performance move the listener both bodily and emotionally while challenging the preconceptions that prevail in current electronic dance music. His artistic aim is and always has been to create space for an audience to share in peak experience together.
