What started out as a simple conversation over coffee has turned into a nationally-celebrated digital, mobile, and social media conference and music festival. Five years ago, we were just one idea
Roger Tellier-Craig’s prolific musical past is deeply rooted in Montreal’s underground scene. He was a member of iconic rock outfit Godspeed You! Black Emperor until 2003 and was one half of the duo Et Sans, alongside Alexandre St-Onge. Le Révélateur started out as a solo venture before expanding into an audio-visual duo with video artist Sabrina Ratté. Le Révélateur conjures up cosmic electronic universe, full of chromatic aberrations, krautrock apparitions, and cascades of incandescent synth arpeggios. In 2011, he released Fictions on the Gneiss Things imprint, while a DVD featuring video pieces by Ratté for each composition was also released on Root Strata. https://soundcloud.com/le-revelateur
Chad Munson is an instrumentalist and sound engineer from the Canadian prairies. Since receiving a malfunctioning synthesizer as at the age of 7 his fascination with tone, texture, and timbre has defined his musical output.
In the early 2000s, under the ‘foal’ moniker, he released hazy minimal techno soundscapes on Cognition Audioworks, Sfeerical Records, Panospria, and Nishi. Since 2010 he has been producing textural pieces focused around analog synthesis and guitar manipulations.
