Rooted in jazz, rock, and folk music, Malick is a piano-based indie rock band from The Great Canadian Prairies started in early 2014.
After a successful career with indie band Despistado (Jade Tree) in the early 2000s, and rock ensemble Geronimo in the late 2000s, Dagan Harding has spent the last four years honing his musical ability in Montreal, Que. Upon his recent return to the prairies he has brought with him a new batch of songs and his unique approach to writing, singing and playing — all influenced by his neighbour Leonard Cohen, and bands The Smiths, The Sonics and early punk legends Fugazi.
A rancher’s son is the solo project of Bastard Poetry frontman Alex ‘Whole’ Shenton. The entire focus of the project is to capture the life experience of coming home and taking over the family ranch through writing songs, supplemented by photography and video.
