Formed in 2007, Frankie McQueen is a blues-heavy rock n’ roll trio from Calgary, Alberta. They bring you back to the roots of hard rock while seamlessly blending contemporary styles. Not afraid of taking risks and trying something new, the band is constantly evolving and tweaking their sound in a great way. Their hard hitting sounds and creamy melodies will get any audience moving.
In summer of 2009, Frankie McQueen turned a lot of heads when they won the New Cap Radio Rock Star Competition along with a cash prize. This was a huge boost that opened a lot of doors for the band. They released a self-titled EP in 2012 and have been able to share a stage with bands like Sam Roberts Band, Flash Lightning, and Daniel Wesley.
Since the release of their first EP, Frankie has filmed a music video for the track “Drown The Sound” and has been putting their focus on spreading their music across Canada. The band will be releasing their second EP in June, 2014.

Their sound has evolved to incorporate a variety of musical styles and influences including punk rock, heavy metal, desert rock and the likes of Danko Jones and Queens of the Stone Age.
Panda’s In Japan
PSYCH/ SURF/ GARAGE PUNK
Jonathan (Grizzly Bear) Walker’s guitar is soaked in the goodness of harmonist reverb gold. At times, it might seem like Jon’s raging energy could melt the guitar itself…not to mention your mind.
Dylan (Koala Bear) Cardenas takes the bass to a new level. Hook, line and sink. The backbone, the train conductor, the morning after pill. He will take you to places you’ve never thought possible whilst holding onto your hand for your own pleasure.
Maxwell (Panda Bear) Warner chug-a-lug-chug-a-lug’s the ball of fire we call music. When he hits the skins, he hits hard. Possessed by demons, Maxwell sees to it that he gets you off your ass and moving. Don’t fuck with this shit.
A whirlwind ball of sound that makes you shake a bone, moves your hippies and kicks down your door with triumphant gusto. A collaboration of former members from Static Muse, Mordichia and Go Solar! the trio explores the boundaries of the infinite abyss. Tune in, turn on, drop out.
