March 19, 2016 @ 8:00 pm
St. Patrick’s Day isn’t the only thing that’s green this month.
ESSA presents Ecobash – to benefit Nature Conservancy of Canada – in partnership with Green Legal and Indigenous Students’ Council.
Featuring the music of Hedged and Vinyl Secrets as well as guest speaker Peter Prebble. More speakers TBA.
Vinyl Secrets will be playing an acoustic set during Earth Hour, followed by the music of Hedged [https://www.reverbnation.com/hedged]. DJ Werd Bird will keep you dancing til the end of the night. The event features guest speakers throughout the night on the topics of sustainability and conservation in Saskatchewan. There will be a raffle and door prizes from many of Saskatoon’s finest local businesses.
Tickets are $15 ($12 in advance for students) and will be available from ESSA, Green Legal, and Indigenous Students Council, as well as local Saskatoon businesses (TBA).
Proceeds of the event will go to support the development of an interpretive trail system through NCC’s Asquith North conservation area. The area, located a half hour west of Saskatoon, features 240 acres of native grasslands, woodlands, and seasonal wetlands. It is known to be the home of endangered and at-risk grassland birds.
