Dead Ranch is crushing and catchy. A loud and noisy four piece from Winnipeg, Canada. Where you are 8 hours away from everything. Isolated in their winter city, they started playing local shows in late 2011 to early 2012, which quickly turned into an eastern Canadian tour in the summer of 2012. This helped them promote their first recordings “Birds of Pray”. A modest basement recorded EP that got them attention on local university radio stations. In Early 2013 they recorded their debut full length “Antler Royal” with renowned engineer, Jesse Gander (who has worked with Japandroids, Anciients…), at the Hive Creative Labs in Burnaby B.C. Released with help from legendary Winnipeg based record label No List Records, “Antler Royal” gained notoriety both nationally and internationally. It went on to reach number one on the Earshot 20 Loud Charts and remained in the top five for months. They toured Canada steadily throughout 2013 and 2014, and have shared the stage with such acts as Bison B.C., KEN mode, Weedeater, The Great Sabatini, and Jucifer, to name a few. They’re currently gearing up to release their second full length album titled “Brumation” and are planning extensive tours, including Europe in 2016.
Forged in the frigid winter landscape of Saskatchewan, Man Meat have established themselves as a badass, answer-to-no-one noise punk band in Saskatoon’s music scene. Sometimes compared to Slint and Four Hundred Years, they still produce an original and unique sound fraught with anxious riffs and desperate melodies. This unholy trio has had the opportunity to share stages with other punk noisemakers such as Hag Face (Calgary), Breakout (Austin, TX) and Brass (Vancouver). Their demo “Meat Hands” provides a crunchy soundtrack to your personal existential crisis, fit for any season. Man Meat plans to record and release their debut EP “Hail Nothing Eat Shit” in the winter of 2016.
Soul Mates – serving a delicious blend of rock and roll, hardcore, and punk rock since 2011. “An ill-mannered rock ‘n’ roll outfit with tweaked-out riffs for miles and swagger to burn. They have the elusive severity of classic hardcore, but with an evolved and bizarre approach to tapping into that sound.” – Skot Hamilton (KEN mode/Adolyne/Grey Light District)
