If Ed Sullivan and The Spice Girls went on a date, they would dance to The Garrys.
Forged in the frigid winter landscape of Saskatchewan, Man Meat have established themselves as a badass, answer-to-no-one noise punk band in Saskatoon’s music scene, producing an original and unique sound fraught with anxious riffs and desperate melodies.
Envisioning a post-apocalyptic future in which human survivors reside in quinzees and sing songs we remember, Quinzee Town delights to cover Ween and 60’s pop classics such as Roy Orbison, Skeeter Davis, and Elvis Presley. Tender shredding and nostalgic harmonies shed new light on old favourites. Pleasing to fans of both oldies and Ween!
Your new soundtrack for cheap beer shotgunning and sloppy kickflipping. Melodic, introspective punkers Sad Buckets give us all those precious golden feels of yesteryear minus the puberty hiccups and the fur-where-there-was-no-fur before. Pummeling rhythms mash seamlessly into sweaty hair/don’t care moshpit smiles. Also, “whoa-oh” backup vocals are a go! – Ominocity
COME EARLY! $6 Black Bridge Lager Pints and $4 hi-balls/$6 doubles between 9:30pm – 11pm.
FM-Phasis is CFCR’s biggest annual fundraiser and represents a huge chunk of our operating budget. We simply could not exist without the amazing support from our community and our musical friends, so hope to see you out!
