What to do in Saskatoon: Dizzy, Zelda Belladonna, Saskatoon Poetic Arts Festival

Dizzy and Caves

Dizzy – a band from the suburb of Oshawa, Ontario – make music to combat the anxieties of the vortex of boredom. Sounds familiar. Also, Caves, and they’re doing stuff! This Friday at Amigos.

Zelda Belladonna & the DNS, Sweater Kittens and Fire Next Time

This looks like a nice lil burner of a punk show – make sure to check out Edmonton’s Fire Next Time, who are blazing a trail off to Pouzza Fest. This Friday at the Black Cat.

Saskatoon Poetic Arts Festival

You and me and poetry! The Saskatoon Poetry Festival is running this week, with nightly performances that feature a number of artists and marquee performances. It all builds to a theatrical poetry show that they create together (all in one day!).

Hit The Streets, SRA, Danger Fuzz, The Lunatic Touch

Grab yer skateboard and come shred to Winnipeg’s Hit the Streets (ironically, not playing in the streets, but rather the confines of Saskatoon Indoor Skatepark, this Friday).

Waffles for Woofles, Right Meow

This family friendly event will raise funds for New Hope Dog Rescue and SCAT Street Cat. They will be on site with adoptable pets. Funds will be raised through waffles sales and custom printed t-shirts designed by local artists through Void Gallery.
