What to do in Saskatoon: Nightshirt, Social Distortion, Welcome to the GAYbourhood June 11 - 18, 2018

Nightshirt

Nightshirt, Nightshirt, Nightshirt. For the next week or so, expect Nightshirt to dominate venues around Saskatoon.

So what exactly is Nightshirt?

A showcase of music and art, and to build up our community through creative collaboration.

Why should I go?

Because there are a ton of amazing bands, both local and touring, that are performing this year, including John K. Samson, Corey Gulkin, BA Johnston, Babyfats, Spacemints, and oh so much more.

But what else is going on?

There’s also a community conversation about safe spaces and a Father’s Day brunch party – which is free to go to!

Look forward to more Nightshirt coverage this week!

Social Distortion

Yup. Still a thing. Social Distortion are returning to Saskatoon, and will be hitting up O’Brians Event Centre on Saturday.

Welcome to the GAYbourhood

What’s more summer than a BBQ? OUTSaskatoon will be hosting the 10th annual Welcome to the GAYbourhood community BBQ on Wednesday, which will see music, a pop-up market and fun all coming together around the grill.

Real Pride March Saskatoon

The Treaty 6 Real Pride March is held to reclaim the place of pride and honour held by Two-Spirit members of the First Nations before colonial genocide and oppression. The pre-march gathering begins at 1pm on Sunday at Mount Royal Collegiate.

Autopilot with Crooked Spies and Young James

Saskatoon trio Autopilot are back from tour and are armed with their new single “Weightless”. And they’ll be playing this Friday at the Capitol Music Club.
