BarCamp is one of our favourite things. It’s a user-generated conference that gathers together Saskatoon’s brightest tech nerds and entrepreneurs to get sloppy drunk and share their expertise. Want to learn about the history of animated GIFs or where the cool kids are downloading their music these days? You can learn all this and more at this year’s BarCamp! Topics range from programming and social media to broader Internet culture.
Last year Ominocity closed the conference giving a very drunken lecture entitled “How to Create an Award-Winning Blog in 6 Months”. This year we promise even more boozy antics as we present “Ominocity’s Guide to Going Viral” which will share our secrets and strategies for writing articles that blow up the Internet.
BarCamp Saskatoon is free to attend and goes down this Saturday, November 3rd from noon to 8pm. BarCamp will be located at:
Suite 405, Avenue Building
220 3rd Avenue South
(Near Winston’s Pub)
If you’d like to come by and heckle us, you can register HERE. We will be scheduled to present later in the evening.
